The Fraunhofer Institutes IFAM, IGD, ILT, IWS and IWU as well as the Fraunhofer Research Institution IAPT have joined forces to form a cooperation platform for metal additive manufacturing (Metal AM). The six partners are integrated into the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, which, with 76 institutes, more than 30,000 employees and an annual research volume of €2.9 billion, is one of the most important research institutions in Germany.
